Recipe for Fake Blue or Green Blood

This is a recipe for an edible fake blood which you can color blue or green for insects, spiders, and other arthropods, or perhaps for aliens. Spiders, mollusks, and several other arthropods have light blue blood because their blood contains the copper-based pigment, hemocyanin. Hemoglobin is red; hemocyanin is blue. Ingredients for Blue or Green Fake Blood This simple recipe only requires a few basic kitchen ingredients: Light corn syrupCorn starchBlue or green food coloring or unsweetened drink mix Make Fake Blood How much fake blood do you need? Pour that amount of corn syrup into a bowl.Stir in corn starch until you achieve the desired blood consistency. The blood will thicken as the water in the corn syrup evaporates, so if you are using the blood for a Halloween costume, for example, expect the blood to be thinnest when you first prepare it.Add food coloring to achieve the desired color. A variation of this recipe is to make a fake blood gravy, in which you heat the corn syrup to boiling and add a corn starch dissolved in a little water. This produces a translucent blood. If you cook the blood, be sure to wait until it has cooled before you use it. Make It Glow While spiders and mollusks dont have glowing blood, you might want a glow-in-the-dark effect for show. To get the fake blood to glow, stir in some phosphorescent powder (available online or in craft stores). Note the the original recipe is safe enough to eat. Glowing blood is non-toxic, but should not be ingested. Fake Blood Clean-Up This fake blood can be cleaned up using warm water. Since it contains food coloring, avoid getting it on surfaces which would stain, such as clothing or furniture.

Civil War Movies Glory - 1142 Words

Final Take Home Essay on Glory The movie Glory is about Colonel Robert Shaw coming back from the fighting in the war and leads the first African American regiment in the Civil War, the 54th Massachusetts. The movie focuses on Captain turned Colonel Robert Shaw coming back from battle and training an African American regiment along with his friend Captain Cabot Forbes. The movie focuses on four African Americans, Sargent Rawlins, Thomas Searles, Jupiter Sharts, and Tripp, following their journey into a united division in the US military. The movie begins with Shaw in the Battle of Antietam, where he passed out due to his injuries and wakes up with the conflict over. Afterwards, he returns home in Massachusetts, showing signs that the†¦show more content†¦Another reason Forbes is my favorite character is that although he may act calm, he can still act emotional when he needs to. It was a good decision to show this film this semester since it strengthened the point of the racism present in the country, even in the north. The film gave a wonderful introduction into the black soldier’s perspectives, focused on Thomas, Trip, Rawlins, and Jupiter. Rant on Music and Sports Essay Example For Students

Rant on Music and Sports Essay Now that Lebanon has owned the Cleveland Cavaliers, all of those bandwagon fans and many more have now Just happened to like that team, even though they were a very bad team the past few years. This doesnt only apply for Just basketball, but for all sports. You have your Green Bay Packers bandwagon fans, your Los Angles Angels bandwagon fans, even your Roy McElroy bandwagon fans. It aggravates me especially when the bandwagons talk about how good their team is. It makes me want fight them, but instead I Just ask them to name how long they were fans of that team and if they can name me that teams roster or record before they were good. Usually I get the replies of It doesnt matter, were good now. or uniform Just asking that because my team is better than yours. Well of course your team is probably better than mine, but at least Im a loyal member to my team win or lose. I remember going onto Twitter and reading some guy say It was a nice few years being a Miami heat fan, now Imam go look for the next best team to like. No, I didnt paraphrase that. He actually did say that statement word for word. Dont get me wrong, there are loyal fans that have liked them before they were good, and then that team became good, but those are very are occurrences nowadays. I can relate in that Im a Chicago Blackjack (hockey) fan since day 1, and now they happen to be a high quality team that always contends for the championship. In college football, bandwagon fans have a slew of teams to choose from: you have the Florida State Seminole. Oh but you can never go wrong with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Now we cannot forget the explosive Oregon Ducks. Also, theres the always solid Oklahoma Sooner. You know what? Why dont the bandwagon fans pick ALL THE TEAMS? That way they can never lose and can always brag about how good their team is. But you know what? One say those teams wont be national powerhouses, and theyll move onto another team. You can compare the bandwagon fans to leaches. They stick to their source until it runs out of energy (wins or championships in this case), and then they Just search for another team to feed off of. When you think about it, bandwagon fans dont necessarily have to be involved in sports. They can also be involved in music. For example, my two favorite bands, 5 Seconds of Summer and the rapping group Amigos, have their fair share of bandwagon fans. In this case, people who like COOS only like the songs She Looks So Perfect, Good Girls, and especially Amnesia. They refer to the band members Rant on Music and Sports By expanded My Rant on Bandwagon Fans By: Jack Byrne Guy (Michael Clifford), and That Drummer (Gaston Irwin). They only like the well- known songs, and Just nod their heads when real fans, like myself, talk about songs or the people at a deeper level than they ever know. You could also apply bandwagon fans to Amigos. If you dont know Amigos, you probably live under a rock or a bubble or in your moms sass cassette case that she plays nonstop. Amigos are a group of rappers consisting of Takeoff, Guava, and Offset. They may not have the best names, but they spit mad fire in their rhymes. Most fans know their songs Fight Night, Versa, Hannah Montana, or even Contraband. You dont see anyone talk much about them outside of these songs, nor do you hear other songs by them on those Beats Pills that kids carry around during class transitions. As you can see, Im not too fond of bandwagon fans. They anger me, and Just ruin the whole experience of sports and music, and discussions about them. They only care about the star players and the scores, or famous people and main songs. .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .postImageUrl , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:hover , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:visited , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:active { border:0!important; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:active , .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954 .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u02f1092ae703279db808e87004bbd954:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Payola Scandal at Sony Music EssayThey always find a way to aka sports less fun when you can hop from team to team without question, but the loyal fans get the true sports experience with that high feeling when you win, and that deep, sinking feeling when your team loses. They also make music less enjoyable when one person finds a new favorite band, song, or band member every 5 minutes. Bandwagon fans not only corrupt sports and music, but they corrupt friendships, happiness, and enjoyment of them. If I see another person switch sports teams or go appointing, Ill Just ROOK Vine them through a table, or even make them listen to some Chief Kef. Thatll teacher a lesson.

Online Media Products and Services

Napster is an online music store that was developed as an online file sharing service. Originally, Napster concentrated on sharing of music files coded in MP3 format. This service was pioneered by Shawn Fanning, and it was aimed at sharing music files among users.Advertising We will write a custom case study sample on Online Media Products and Services specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This marked a revolution in the music industry, thereby forming a platform on which online music services are based. It emerged as a powerful promotion tool for various artists and bands including the Dispatch band. Dispatch band is an American independent band that was formed in 1996. Previously, the band had neither experienced formal promotion nor radio play. Through Napster’s peer to peer file sharing services, the band promoted its music to higher levels. As a result, the Dispatch band toured and performed in many cities, which they had n ever imagined before (Biagi, 2012). The most significant aspect of Napster file sharing services is the active involvement of the audience. In this respect, many users or audiences were actively involved in receiving and sharing information. Napster technology facilitated easy sharing of music files in MP3 format among the users. In regards to Dispatch band, display of their music in Napster enabled the band’s music to reach many audiences. This was attributed to Napster’s interface that was user friendly. This allowed easy downloading of music copies that could have been hard to get. This included old songs, concert songs, and even the recordings that had not been released. In addition, the majority of users enjoyed downloading and trading music at no extra costs. In addition, Napster allowed users to create their music profiles where they could compile their own albums. However, users chose the music on the basis of their values, beliefs, culture, background, experie nces, interest, and education. Through this strategy, users could develop their social constraints of reality (Croteau, Hoynes, and Milan, 2012).Advertising Looking for case study on business economics? First, it can lead to the users narrowing and limiting themselves to certain dimensions. For example, users may isolate themselves and relate with only those whom they like. Through Napster, users may isolate themselves in sharing music to certain people or groups like the Dispatch band. Secondly, group polarization can be a common occurrence. This takes shape where a group with views attracting much attention tends to absorb even the minority. The Dispatch band’s popularity amongst the majority triggered its influence to the minority (Croteau, Hoynes, and Milan, 2012). As far as isolation of individual users is concerned, online media play a significant role. This can lead to various adverse effects. However, this is not common for all online media companies. As mentioned, the success of the Dispatch band group was attributed to Napster’s online services. This portrays that Napster did not contribute to isolation of users since the Dispatch band music reached many users prompting widespread tours and concerts. This shows that it contributed to bringing togetherness amongst the users. Despite the challenges, Napster ensured diversification of ideologies that promoted social construction. With respect to isolation, online media can overcome this challenge as in the case of the Dispatch band. The Dispatch band had no prior promotion or radio play that could have influenced polarization. Therefore, no dominant position influenced users towards them. Instead, it was at free will because the group was not formally known (Biagi, 2012). References Biagi, S. (2012). Media/impact: An intr oduction to mass media. Australia: Wadsworth Cengage Learning.
